Our experience with Colten Mortgage was hands down the best lender experience we have ever had. My wife and I purchased a townhouse in Castle Rock from the builder Lokal. Colten Mortgage is their lender partner. We were originally going to finance with one of the big bank lenders but there were some wonderful incentives to use Colten. We are so glad we decided to work with Colten. They were always available day or night to answer questions, we typically got responses almost immediately! You don’t get that kind of attention with the big Corporate lenders. They actually got all our closing paperwork ready early, which is another rare occurrence in today’s home buying process. The customer service experience was top notch and we had the smoothest quickest closing we have ever been part of.
Using a local lender can also give homebuyers an edge in the competitive Colorado real estate market. While we bought a new townhome, we heard from several realtors that using a local lender is something sellers like to see because is usually means less hiccups at closing. If you are buying an existing home, there’s a good chance you will go into a competitive bidding situation. Having Colten Mortgage on your side will most likely give you an edge against other buyers.
